Agua quería vivir
fue al sol y volvió llorando

Ted Hughes
Edward James Hughes nombre completo de Ted Hughes, nació en West Riding of Yorkshire, Reino Unido, el 17 de agosto de 1930.
Poeta y escritor de libros infantiles, está considerado por la crítica como uno de los mejores poetas de su generación.
Estuvo casado con la también poeta Sylvia Plath, que se suicidó con sólo 30 años de edad en 1956.
En 2010 se encontró una carta en la que describe qué pasó durante los tres días que condujeron al suicidio de ésta.
Murió en Londres, el 28 de octubre de 1998.
En 2008 la revista The Times clasificó a Hughes como cuarto en su lista de Los 50 mejores escritores británicos desde 1945.
En marzo de 2010 se anunció que Hughes sería conmemorado con un monumento en el Rincón de los Poetas en la Abadía de Westminster.
